Rodrigues Residence is is a characterful and relaxed bed & breakfast. It is located on the well-known Beach of Saint François on the island of Rodrigues, which offers easy access to Trou D'argent and Anse Bouteille. The Residence provides large double rooms with an extra bed, a family room, studios with either a third bed or a basic kitchenette, and a 3 bedroom bungalow. We have a friendly dedicated team of staff, some of whom have been with us since the Residence opening. The kitchen offers tasty local dishes, prepared from local and seasonal ingredients. Saint Francois Residence is an affordable cocoon with: delicious healthy meals, great walks and excursions in unspoilt surroundings, amazing water sports … or simply beach relaxation.

Rodrigues Residence in St. Francois works with Andy, an experienced Kite Surfer from the island, who has made his passion, his career. Adept at kite surfing and wave surfing, he is a reliable, pragmatic teacher with over 12 years of experience & a great trip organiser. The Master Yoda of Kite Surf!

He's the right guy to take you out kiting for half- or full-day trips, for kite lessons or for one of his weekend Safari-Trips. Booking in advance is recommended!

Rodrigues Island

The Island of Rodrigues is an autonomous outer island and dependency of the Republic of Mauritius located in the Indian Ocean, about 560 km east of Mauritius. Rodrigues is jewel in the crown of the Mascarene Islands - a 18 by 8 kilometres pearl, surrounded by a crystalline blue lagoon twice its size.

The secure waters of the lagoon and the trade winds that gently buffer the island provide many opportunities for the adventurous. Rodrigues is a wonderful playground for scuba divers who quickly fall in love with the diverse coral reef eco-system and its colorful assortment of sub-aquatic flora and fauna.

Equally, the island appeals to those with a love of Windsurfing, Kite-surfing, sailing and fishing. Thanks to its outer reef edges sitting nearly 10 km away from the coastline, Rodriguan waters are very rich in fish. In fact, no fewer than three world record catches have been hooked here since 2005.

It isn't only those who like the ocean that will be swayed by Rodrigues' charms. Yellows, greens and blues; nature on Rodrigues throbs with a palette of colors. Rarely will visitors encounter such a variety of landscapes in such a small area.
